I
enjoy posting and viewing unlisted or obscure non-sports
cards. Have you seen these? They are Transfer
Varities from the Philidelphia Gum Company and are
3-3/4" wide by 4-1/8" to 4-1/2" long. What do you
have?
The First 4 are sets of 4 different
transfers cut from a strip.

[IMG][/IMG]
I only
have 3 from this strip, but it is clear that the 4th
image is a deep sea diver.

Only 2
from this series, but 5 different transfers shown. May
have 2 transfers per sheet for a set of 8 transfers.
Hi
Ken, I am with you on the obscure and hard types. It is
so much fun to find stuff that I haven't seen before ,or
stuff that I have only seen in catalogs and could wish
to find. I have seen so much great stuff here on this
board it has helped to broaden my collecting interests.
I picked this card up from another board member this
past weekend. Had never seen one before, don't know if
it is listed anywhere. It was put out by the American
Sweets Co. in the Phillipines, it says there are 250
knockout Bubble gum pictures in the set. Also nice
transfers, would you consider those to fall under the
R154 category? [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]
Those
are pretty cool Chuck, never seen those before. Then
again there is alot I haven't seen. Here are some
Buffalo Bill diecuts from Aunt Sally's Bisquit mix. I
hve 15 or so from the set, other than that I know nothing
about them. [IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
One
of my favotite unlisteds Chuck, from Zieglers.
This is a candy box with cutouts to show face and
name of the movie star. The Card, postcard sized,
slides into place; it has a ribbon attached so it can be
removed and replaced by another card.
Here
are some unlisteds from a yet-to-be-published book on E
cards from a cant-get-it-together author. Sorry for the
friggin HUGE Photos in some cases. Have about 30 more
from different sets I'll try to post at another time.
Adams Gum Tutti Frutti Box Tops
Auerbach's International Dolls
Cracker Jacks Lantern Slides
F.C. Cailler's Swiss Views (also issued in
Switzerland with different backs)
Frat Chocolates California Views
Postcards
Ghirardelli Battleships
Ghirardelli California Missions
Powell's Kewpie Kandy Stamps
Samoset Chocolates Typical Indian Scenes
Postcards
Are
the Fern Chocolates postcards? Or a larger format trade
card? Anything on the back? I have some H.D.Foss
postcards that look like the RPPC that you posted.
Awesome
stuff from everyone. That Leopard diecut is very cool as
with all that great E stuff Tom. Jim, love that
Loose-Wiles card of the pyramids and sphinx, very cool.
Wonderful
stuff....this thread is a type card collectors dream (or
nightmare). I'm interested in the strange variety of
stuff put out by the Loose-Wiles company. I've been
looking for years for something from their sister
company, Loose-Morals, but have so far come up empty.
Love
the "Girl of the Sea" card Jim. Here are a couple of fun
cards. These are listed in ACC under R755 however these
are the only two I have ever seen anywhere and wanted to
show the magnificent colors on them and the cool theme.
They are Campfire Marshmallows-1959. [IMG][/IMG]

Hey
Ken, the "transfers" you have are very similar to those
that were included with the Philadelphia Gum football
card series. They are fairly tough to find these days
due to their "throw-away" appearance (meaning people
probably used them or threw them away after they got
them). Here is a wrapper for one of the years of Philly
football cards...
What you have there is a card from an issue
designated NX5 in the ACC. They were issued with Knock
Out Bubblegum around 1937 in the Philippines. If you
want to sell or trade it I'm your Huckleberry.
Nothing
earth shattering...............would like to see the
rest of the set. Would like to HAVE the rest of the set.
Only Chu Chu item I've seen on ebay in 4-5 years of
searching the term..............
She doesn't
look any happier in either one of them...... There
is another Chu Chu Popcorn issue in the ACC called State
Census Cards (as K132) cataloged as E261. I have never
seen one of them.............anyone out there have one?

Picked
these up last year and think they might be in the R764
group. Does anyone have any insight into this issue?
Card #31 might be from the "Questions & Answers"
series but don't know about card #40. Thanks in advance.
Wow,
This is some great stuff, I have not seen alot of it.
Here is a few more scarce/unlisted things I dug out.
Starting with a neat old lithography card for Henry- I
call him the "Smoking Chimney Sweep", very cool gilded
edges on heavyweight vellum. [IMG][/IMG]
Her
is another neat candybox-recently aquired featuring
Jumbo [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]
A
unlisted M card with "Skippy" [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]
A
scarce complete box for F365 [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG]
An old
Novel candy box with Spanky and Rascals [IMG][/IMG]
1890's
A.P. Connolly Civil War Generals, possibly my favorite
"set". I know I saw a U.S. Grant with an ad back that
was pretty beat, but forgot to bid. I think maybe Tom
picked it up?
Hi
Jerry I really like your F365 Hoppy box. I had the
chance to buy one years ago.I thought the price was
way to high, and it probably was at the time, but I
wish I had.
Hey
Tom, is there some way to "pin" this thread (or whatever
you call it) so that's it's always easy to find? I'd
hate for this one to get lost in the shuffle.
